Hello! As many of you know by the title I’m Lacie, the founder of Angels Boutique! Nice to meet you!
In today’s blog post, I’ll be sharing with you my story and personal journey on why I started Angel’s Boutique.
Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak
When I was young, I always knew I had a passion for fashion and creating unique styles with the clothes I wore. It was a way I could express myself and who I was without really having to say a word. I have always been expressive through fashion, and even though my style has evolved throughout the journey to loving myself, it has remained something that I lean on to showcase who I am.
My Journey to loving myself and my personal style
When I was in middle school I used to get bullied. I was a shy, quiet kid and I really didn’t say much unless I needed to. But, that always made me an easy target too, so I became good at hiding myself to make sure I wasn’t seen or heard too much. I didn’t know that was going to follow me all the way to adulthood. That’s when I started experiencing insecurities about myself even about how I look. As I grew older, and into my mid twenties God place on my heart an idea to start my own boutique. At first, I put the thought out of my mind because I didn’t think I knew enough about business. But, tell me ,what is faith if you can see it right? So I said yes!
If God calls you to it, He will bring you through it
I knew if God called me to do this, everything I needed was already inside me, I just had to push it out! All I knew is that I wanted women to feel empowered to never change themselves for anyone! I believe that true beauty starts from the inside, and we must learn how to navigate through a world that tells us if we change who we are will finally obtain happiness. Instead of changing ourselves to fit others’ mold, we will gain true freedom as we learn to fall in love with the woman we are becoming!
So, I introduce to you Angels Boutique where we celebrate women through fashion and encouragement as we provide support on your journey to becoming your best self! We are in this together, and I am here for you.
