Power of Community

Ecclesiastes 4:9

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.”

Sis! You belong in community no matter what that looks like! Don’t believe this lie of culture/Environment, yes you are an independent woman and you were probably even taught to hold yourself down or not to go to others when times get hard. But, I assure you are worthy of love even in friendship! People that will surround you on this journey who will uplift, encourage, ands love you to your best abilities! In all my 27 years of life I wasn’t really taught about true friendship or that I actually needed to be seen, heard, and understood in my relationships with others. It’s actually healthy and normal to have these feelings and even express them with trustworthy people in our lives. But, I can tell you what’s not healthy believing we have to isolate ourselves even believe that we are burdens to those we call friends even family. Those connected to us can be the influence to transform us or be the reason why there isn’t transformation. Either way we have the choice to believe that we have community on other side our doubts. My prayer is that you experience the fullness of God’s love through those that he’s placed in your life and may it refresh your soul.

Proverbs 27:9-10

“Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God’s presence. So never give up on a friend or abandon a friend of your father-for in the day of your brokenness you won’t have to run to a relative for help. A friend nearby is better than a relative far away.”
